Livin Proof – End Of An Era

All good things must come to an end.

After 16 years of running Livin’ Proof, we have decided that 2023 will be the last year of operation for the night. With 3 of the 4 founding members now living in the States, the time is right to call it a day on this chapter of our lives.

We are immensely proud of the work we have done with Livin’ Proof - from our humble beginnings at a 100 capacity basement in Soho, to putting on major US rap acts like A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, A$AP Ferg, Joey Badass, Action Bronson in early and (often their first) UK shows, to having Giggs cause various moshpits with his unannounced appearances, to our residency on NTS, the Boiler Room takeovers - including the A$AP Riot Rave, and tours and parties around the world. Even being duped by MF DOOM when he sent an imposter in a mask to our event which made global news and now lives on in London Hip Hop folklore.

More than the DJs or rappers, we are proud of the community that has surrounded the party. It has been a place where for 16 years - friendships have been forged, relationships and marriages have been created, and babies have been born (!).

After 2023, there will be no more Livin’ Proof. So from now until the end of the year, we have a handful of events and would love to celebrate everything Livin’ Proof has been, what it has represented and what it still is with you.
