What information do you collect and where are you storing it?
– If you receive our newsletters: Village Underground collects names and email addresses from people who want to subscribe to our newsletters. This is stored securely on MailChimp. If at any time you decide you don’t want to receive them, it’s easy to unsubscribe, just hit the button at the bottom of any newsletter.
– If you buy a ticket to one of our shows: We store your name, email and postcode. These details are securely stored in MailChimp.
– If you are putting on a show or event at VU, performing at VU, or working with us to produce an event at VU: We store the contact details you give us in our shared calendar event production system YesPlan. We do this in order to liaise with you about your event.
In order to minimise the impact on your privacy, we will never knowingly collect more personal data than is strictly necessary to perform the activities described in this here policy.
We try our best to ensure that adequate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect the security of any data we store. We are also always looking to develop and update our practices – please contact [email protected] if you’d like further information and/or to discuss.

CONDITIONS OF SALE
TICKETS AND OTHER SALES
Village Underground only sell their own allocation of tickets for events via either Dice or Resident Advisor. External promoters might provide ticket links for allocations via different ticket retailers. Ticket purchases, refunds, issues and queries are all governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant ticket agent.
Village Underground will not take responsibility for the validity of tickets purchased from unauthorised agents or other sources.
Village Underground is not liable for any tickets that are lost or stolen.
Village Underground reserves the right to make alterations to the advertised programme at any time and without advance notice.
Village Underground and event promoter are not liable for any personal travel, accommodation or hospitality arrangements made relating to the event or the cancellation of any event.
We advise against coming to a sell-out performance at Village Underground without a ticket. If you do come to Village Underground without a ticket, we strongly advise against buying from touts that operate in the area, whose tickets may be fraudulent.
Tickets must not be sold for profit or commercial gain by any outlet other than Village Underground or one of its authorised agents.
Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions will make your ticket and transaction void.
BOOKING FEES
All bookings made through our main ticket providers See Tickets and Residents Advisor will carry a per-order fee.
External promoters or producers may also sell tickets through their own channels with different booking fees.
ADMISSION
By attending an event, you consent to being photographed or filmed as a member of the audience, and you consent to resulting materials being used for commercial distribution, publication and Village Underground communications, without payment or copyright.
Village Underground reserves the rights to require and electronically verify photographic ID, and to search visitors on entry and exit, as conditions of admission
The management reserves the right to refuse admission to and/or eject any person appearing to be intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or otherwise behaving dangerously or inappropriately. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
To ensure safety, we may conduct security searches of clothing, bags and all other items on entry and exit and reserve the right to confiscate items which may cause danger or disruption to the event or others.
Glass containers, cans, chains and other large, heavy or sharp objects are not allowed in the venue.
Audio and video recording equipment is not allowed in performance areas without prior consent from the artist and venue. Village Underground reserves the right to insist that such equipment is left in the cloakroom.
You are responsible for your belongings when attending an event. Village Underground accepts no responsibility for any personal property brought to the venue.
Smoking is not permitted inside Village Underground.
Events may be age restricted and it is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check before purchasing.
Pets are not allowed in Village Underground. Assistance animals are permitted.
Village Underground requests that all audience members leave the venue quietly at the end of the performance.
Unless otherwise stated, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
